The WSTA family
is one with great history and pride. WSTA has over 50 years of service to
the Caribbean community. Lucky 13 WSTA is a fixture in the media industry.
This site will allow you the viewer to explore the sights, sounds, and people
of the Caribbean, especially the Virgin Islands.
The media industry
is a unique and special one, with the medium of radio as its important tool
of development, especially music. WSTA's role in the Caribbean music industry
is very significant. Throughout the years, everything in the community has
somehow tended to center around the Lucky 13. For years, without other stations
ability to produce signal interference, 250 watts was sufficient to broadcast
as far away as Antigua.
Many locals
have depended on WSTA radio station for up-to-date weather reports, throughout
many storms and hurricanes. National and regional law-enforcement has utilized
WSTA as the first point of contact to reach locals in need of help, throughout
dangerous storms.
